What would you like to tell us?
The Africans Time welcomes useful feedback from readers, experts, sources, companies and institutions. Different types of feedback serve different purposes, so the sections below explain which contact route is most appropriate and what information is most useful to include.
Report an Error
If you believe a published article contains a factual error, contact:
What to Include
- the article URL;
- the specific statement, figure, date, name or detail you believe is incorrect;
- a short explanation of the suspected error;
- a reliable source, document or other supporting evidence where available;
- your contact details if follow-up is needed.
Specific information makes it easier to compare the disputed statement with the source material used in the article and determine whether the issue is a factual error, a clarification, an update or a disagreement with material that remains supported by the evidence.
Correction requests are reviewed according to The Africans Time Corrections Policy.
Report Outdated Information
Some information changes after publication even when the original reporting was accurate at the time.
This is particularly common with:
- economic data;
- company information;
- project status;
- regulation;
- market information;
- public appointments;
- institutional information.
If a published article contains material information that is no longer current, send the article URL and an authoritative updated source to:
A later change does not automatically mean the original article was incorrect if it accurately described the situation at the time of publication. The distinction between a factual correction and a later update helps preserve an accurate record of how events developed.
Suggest a Story
Story suggestions can be sent to:
A useful pitch should explain:
- what happened or what subject deserves attention;
- why it matters;
- which countries, companies, institutions or communities are affected;
- why the issue is timely;
- which reliable documents or sources are available.
Relevant subjects include African politics, economy, business, investment, trade, diplomacy, infrastructure, energy, technology, mining, critical minerals and regional developments.
Submitting a story suggestion does not guarantee coverage, a particular headline or a particular editorial conclusion.
Suggest a Source
Readers, researchers, companies and institutions may recommend source material that could improve the accuracy, context or depth of future reporting.
Useful submissions include:
- official documents;
- regulatory notices;
- company filings;
- public datasets;
- research papers;
- project documents;
- court or legal documents;
- institutional reports;
- experts with direct knowledge of the subject.
Where possible, include a direct link to the original source so the underlying material can be assessed independently.
Expert Feedback
Researchers, analysts, academics, industry professionals, public officials and other knowledgeable sources may contact the newsroom with:
- additional context;
- technical clarification;
- relevant data;
- source recommendations;
- methodological observations;
- comments for possible future coverage.
Send expert feedback to:

Examples include:
- employment by the organisation being suggested;
- representation by a PR or communications agency;
- an investment relationship;
- an advisory relationship;
- a paid promotional arrangement;
- submission as part of a marketing campaign.
A disclosed commercial relationship does not automatically prevent editorial consideration. Disclosure allows the editorial team to assess the submission with an accurate understanding of the submitter's relationship to the subject.

Examples include:
- unclear sponsored-content labelling;
- misleading advertising claims;
- commercial material presented as independent journalism;

- media partnerships;
- data collaborations;
- research partnerships;
- expert collaborations;
- events and conferences;
- syndication;

- broken links;
- unreadable text;
- broken layouts;
- unclear labels;
