West Africa 4 articles

At the heart of West Africa are the diverse coastal and inland economies linked through ECOWAS and major trade routes. Attention falls on ports, regional trade, monetary systems, cocoa, oil and gas, energy markets, transport corridors, political cooperation and Sahel-coast connections. It differs from the Sahel because the emphasis instead falls on combining coastal commercial hubs and ports with inland integration, monetary and cross-border economic systems.
